Guy Mettan
President

Guy was born in Evionnaz, Switzerland, and received his academic education at
the University of Geneva.

Commencing his journey at Journal de Genève, Temps stratégique, Bilan and le
Nouveau Quotidien, Mettan swiftly ascended to director and editor-in-chief of
La Tribune de Genève, imprinting his vision upon the publication from 1992 to
1998.

In 1997, he co-founded and chaired the Geneva Press Club, serving as executive
director until 2019, championing press freedom and intellectual exchange with
prominent personalities visiting the international organizations and UN head-
quarters in Geneva.

Transitioning into politics, Mettan’s leadership spans from the Christian Demo-
cratic People’s Party of Switzerland to the Swiss People’s Party, whose he is still a
deputy at the Geneva parliament, whose he was the speaker in 2010.
As President of the Swiss EurAsia Chamber of Commerce and head of the Gene-
va Institute for Multipolarity, Mettan continues to foster strategic partnerships
and advocate for a world order grounded in integrity and cooperation.
A beacon of inspiration to journalists, writers, and policymakers alike, Met-
tan’s unwavering commitment to dialogue a multipolarity defines his enduring
legacy.

He wrote several books. His bestseller “Creating Russophobia”, has garnered
widespread acclaim for its profound impact on contemporary media discourse
and has been published in many countries such as USA, France, Italy, Russia and
China. Its penetrating analysis serves as a beacon of enlightenment amidst the
opacity and falsehoods pervasive in today’s media landscape.
Married, he has 1 daughter. His hobbies are skiing, hiking, and writing.
